2. Durian Pie
(Durian Pie)
Durian is an oval spiny tropical fruit containing a creamy pulp. Despite its fetid Smell, it is highly esteemed for its flavors. I dont like to eat a pure durian because of its smell that very displeasing to my nose. Some Tagumenyos may say that "it smells like hell but taste like heaven" but now Tagum City is presenting a pie which is made from durian. There are different dishes/desserts which is made by durian but the durian pie is my favorite because of its creaminess and delicious taste.

Health benefits of Durian fruit

  • Durian, like other tropical fruits such as Bananaavocado, and jackfruit, is rich in energy, minerals and vitamins. 100 g fresh fruit provides 147 calories.
  • The fruit is made of soft, easily digestible flesh made of simple sugars like fructose and sucrose that when eaten replenish energy and revitalize the body instantly. Though it contains a relatively high amount of fats among fruits, it is free from saturated fats and cholesterol.
  • Durian is rich in dietary fiber, which makes it a good bulk laxative. The fiber content helps to protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time and as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon.
  • The durian fruit is a good source of antioxidant vitamin-C (about 33% of RDA). Consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful free radicals.
  • The fruit is an excellent source of health benefiting B-complex groups of vitamins; a rare feature among fruits, such as niacin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B-6) and thiamin (vitamin B-1). These vitamins are essential for the body as it requires them from external sources to replenish.
  • Further, it also contains a good amount of minerals like manganese, copper, iron and magnesium. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. Copper is required in the production of red blood cells. Iron is required for red blood cell formation.
  • Fresh durian fruit is a very rich source of potassium. Potassium is an important electrolyte of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Additionally, it also contains high levels of essential amino acid, tryptophan (also known as "nature's sleeping pill") which in the body metabolizes into serotonin and melatonin; these neuro-chemicals have important functions like sleep induction and in the treatment of epilepsy.

Choleric Personality

There are 4 Temperaments that identifies your true attitude. They are the SANGUINE PERSONALITY -  which is sociable and playful person, the CHOLERIC PERSONALITY - which is an extrovert and selfish person, they are the best leaders. Next is the MELANCHOLIC PERSONALITY - which is an introvert and shy type of person, they prefer to do things on their own. Lastly, the PHLEGMATIC PERSONALITY - which is a private, calm and reasonable person, they love on quite places and they are the most patient one.

At http://personality-testing.info/tests/4T.php , I tried to test my myself  to know which personality did I belong. The result is CHOLERIC.
(Click the picture to know more)

I guess I'm a leader with a selfish personality. But if I relate it to my self it is actually true, most of the time in groupings my group mates always appointed me as their leader because of the personality that I had 'leadership skill'. I'm selfish just for the sake of the group not for myself. I'm a dictator leader so that my group mates will learn what we have discuss.

Some people perceive that being a choleric person is bad because they are stubborn and domineering type of person. But for me, I'm a choleric person in a good way.

My Career Plan

Year 2015 is the very big challenge that I will encounter, the true fight in life is on its way. That year is the year that I will leave the university. There are few questions bugging on my mind, "What will happen to me after I graduate?, "How can I find work?". "What Company should I apply?", "What position should I apply?"

My passion as a marketer brought the answers.

1. A Marketing Manager in San Miguel Corporation - It is the largest publicly listed food, beverage and packaging company in Southeast Asia. My father works at SMC for 3 years when we are at Cebu. My father promoted as a manager but he did not accept the promotion. He insisted to live in Mindanao because at that time, Mindanao is well-known in mining. I want to continue my father's legacy to work at SMC in Cebu someday as a marketing manager.

2. An Advertising Manager in Coca-Cola Company - I always do love Coca-Cola in terms of advertising. The way they make advertising makes me more eager to make an advertising in their company. After I graduate in college, first I will apply in Coca-Cola. I do love advertising, and I do hope someday I will be in that company.

3. A Marketing Specialist at Apple - The movie of Steve Jobs inspired me a lot. His critical  mind to critic a product makes apple more bigger in terms of sales. I'm a perfectionist man, I want all things will be perfect like Steve Jobs is. To work in Apple is one of my dreams.

Those plans will not be completed if we don't have dreams and ambitions in life. Those ambitions motivate us to work hard and to make a legacy that will take us into our desired position.

Marketing Day was Awesome!

February 16, 2014 was the best Marketing Day ever. The third year almost won all the contest in the event. I'm so very proud because I'm one of them. As an officer, Marketing Day is the most difficult to create because it needs time and hard work of course. We have sleepless night and a tiresome week but it is totally worth it because we made a very special Marketing Day and Marketing Night that made all the students their most unforgettable day in their lives.

(Me, Garbo, Ma'am Janie, and Mars)

3 years as Marketing Students and 3 Marketing Day, but based on my experience this is the best and most memorable marketing day ever. The students build cooperation and unity to make a very outstanding marketing day. Through the leadership of Pres. Leah B. Camposo - Marketing President, she never scolding us on what we done but she motivates us by admiring us for our works.

(Me, Ma'am Janie, and Marketing Officers)

Successful day indeed, but what's most interesting in February 16? it's the "MARKETING NIGHT", were all marketing students wear precious dresses that makes them more beautiful like they were wearing it to the future. We eat, we laugh, we dance, but the saddest part is giving tokens to the 4th year students that soon will leave the university. It's the culture of marketers to say "Adios" to their Kuya's and Ate's that soon will graduate the university. As the third year president, it is my duty to lead the giving of tokens to all graduating students.

(Me giving farewell speech to all graduating students)

Marketing Day 2014 challenge us(Third Year) to make the Marketing Day 2015 better.

As a Marketing Student

(Me and Drake as an emcee in Marketing Day 2013)

For the past 3 years as a Marketing Officer, I encountered lots of new things that I can use when getting a job like doing paper works, dissemination of information to my co-marketing students and making program permits signed to OSA, the Dean, etc. It is my passion to become a good student by making legacy to the university.

(TV Ad Making: The University of Mindanao)

In my first year in the university, I became the Secretary in Marketing Department. I always finish my works before going home. I know it's quite busy but through the help of Ma'am Aileen Aguilar my confidence boosted after all. Joining activities in the university like making advertisement in ComGuild Festival in Manila when I was in second year college was my biggest role as a marketing student. Me and my girlfriend Jennel Seloverez became the director of the advertisement even though we do not have an advertising subject yet. After we finished the advertisement together with my classmates, it is our accomplishment to finished the advertisement before the time and Ma'am Aileen was so proud of us. Our team failed to submit the advertisement to Manila because we do not have enough funds for our transportation and accommodation on joining the competition, but at least we did our best to make an advertisement at it's finest.

Last marketing day, Johndrake Villafuerte and I became an emcee in the whole event. It is my first time to become an emcee in an event and we did our best, our tandem made the audience happy.

(Mangrove Tree Planting In Bincungan, Tagum City)

Last year, me and my best friends joined mangrove tree planting in Bincungan, Tagum City. It was so fun even if we have hectic schedule due to lots of activities in our advertising subject but still, we volunteered ourselves to join the activity.

(Second Year College: Product Presentation in Marketing 1)

For the first year in college until today most of the 3rd year students have put their trust on me. As an officer in the marketing department, I will try my best not to fail their trust until I graduate in this university.
